James The Ear Thompson Goes Wild!

James Thomspon, the guy who almost choked out Kimbo Slice before having his ear exploded, had a wild night in Canada. The guys at MMA FanHouse reported the crazy event that took place in Montreal. It seems Steve Bosse and James Thompson had decided before the fight to keep things stand up. Well, James decided to go back on his word and attempt a take down. That’s when things got crazy and the fans started throwing things at both fighters.

Who can blame James though? He can’t seem to beat anyone these days, and that’s maybe why he decided to just go back on his word and take advantage of his opponent. The problem? He still didn’t win!

Having Fun with Mir – Lesnar II

I don’t usually like to post fan videos on UFC events, but UFC 98 has created so much buzz that folks are creating unofficial videos for it left and right. This one is on Mir – Lesnar II match-up, which is going to be very interesting. I thought Lesnar should’ve won the first fight. The referee didn’t do him any favor. But this time around, Mir looks more ready, so who knows what happens. A fun video, but keep in mind it’s not official.

MMA Live is back. This latest episode was more about UFC 93 and affiliction. The good news for ESPN is that they will do another UFC 91 event coverage for UFC 94. But Affliction is the show that everyone is talking about this week. Can Fedor really lose to Andrei? I really don’t think so, and a lot of experts agree with me. If Fedor is as smart as folks say he is, he’ll take Andredi down and submit him. And I think Fedor hits harder than Arlovski. Roy Nelson rocked Andredi once so why can’t Fedor?

MMA Live 31: Torres In Studio

MMA Live on ESPN was very interesting this week with the addition of, my pound for pound best, Miguel Torres. The dude is a beast, and he completely dominated his last opponent before knocking him out. The most interesting part of the show was the discussion of Sean Sherk and Kenny Florian being interested in fighting Eddie Sanchez. The whole BJ Penn vs. GSP thing has messed things up bad. Swick is now probably going to fight Alves, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Kenny gets another fight before his title fight. And let’s not forget that Kenny may never actually face BJ Penn if BJ wins. Very interesting and confusing at the same time.

What do Kimbo and Palin have in common? They both are iconic and they both have the IQ of a retarded rat. But the jury is still out on Palin as there is no real evidence on her. But Kimbo simply have no excuse for calling Japan a city. Now here is the thing. If Palin thought Africa was a country, that is a monumental mistake. One that our grandsons grandsons will talk about and laugh at work. But Kimbo wants to find work in Japan and he doesn’t even know it’s a country? No wonder he couldn’t see Seth’s punch coming. In fact, I doubt he let it hit him as he decided to go down to preempt any punch thrown by Seth. Oh… the humanity…. Got to love the stupidity of some of us. At least they entertain us.

MMA Live: Couture Won’t Be Fighting Chuck

Latest episode of MMA Live is now on ESPN.com. The guys talk about Couture and Chuck and their potential fourth fight. Folks, that won’t be happening. Also, Chuck won’t be moving up to heavyweight, though I think he would if Lesnar beats Nog/Mir. Couture’s best option at this point is to wait for the loser of Mir/Nog, win that fight, and get a shot at the champion (be it Lesnar or anyone else). We shall wait and see…

Latest episode of MMA live is in the books and we get to see an interesting discussion about Couture and Liddell fighting in Germany for UFC 99. I personally don’t see anything good about a 4th fight between these two legends. There are so many good match ups that can be put together, so why risk having one of these guys retired without giving a name to a rising star. I’d say Liddell vs. Silva or Liddell – Jardine II makes much more sense. And how about Randy Couture fighting the loser of Mir – Nog? That’s the best way for hiim to get another shot.

One of the not so good MMA Live’s in memory. The John Fitch controversy obviously was not covered in this episode. Also, we learn now that Carwin won’t be facing Gonzaga, which I think is ridiculous. Shane is getting tomato cans whereas Lesnar is getting former and current champs. But the good news is that Liddell Silva fight could happen. Fingers crossed…

Fan Fight At UFC 91

I thought the main event at UFC 91 was pretty good but it turned out fans had a more exciting fight after the fight was finished and Lesnar was announced as the new champ. Man! This fight among fans was really serious. I almost felt bad for the lady who got caught in the middle of it.
