Tim Sylvia Embarrasses MMA, Loses in 9 seconds!

Talk about an embarrassment. An overweight Tim Sylvia made Roy Mercer look like Fedor on steroids. He lost in less than 10 seconds, and now is firmly out of the elite MMA heavyweights group. In MMA, anyone has a punchers chance. But I still don’t understand why Tim took this fight. Now he has no where to go. Losing to someone who got submitted by Kimbo Slice could be the end of the line for Tim.

Fedor Brutally Knockout out Arlovski

What a fight by Fedor. I doubt Dana will find it easy to dismiss his knock out of Andrei Arlovski. I thought Arlovski was winning the fight but made the rookie mistake of getting overexcited. Fedor is not just anyone, and Andrei shouldn’t have tried to rub it in by trying to knock Fedor out with a flying knee. Catch this video while you can!

Bobby Lashley Wins Without Breaking a Sweat

So much for Lashley struggling in his first MMA fight. He beat a guy who was making his debut also, but he really didn’t put the guy away. The guy must’ve been made of glass as he fell aport so easily. He is no Lesnar, but Lashley can be somebody in this sport if he takes it slow.

Fedor’s Side Of the Story?

An interesting video in which the Fedor folks talk about how they want to meet Dana White, and the invitation is for him to go to Fedor’s hometown for talks. But the whole argument is very stupid. Why would Dana White want to hire Fedor and be stuck with M1 Global in the process. It’s just sad that Fedor folks are being so unreasonable. The UFC doesn’t need Fedor. They already have Silva, GSP, BJ Penn, Lesnar, and all other guys who can draw and people show up to see. Having Fedor will be great but the UFC is not going to throw M1 a bone just to get Fedor.

Here is what I think. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous for M1 and affliction to expect Dana White to go their Jan 24th show that may not happen. I think Fedor is more interested in fighting freaks than real fighters. I think he waits long enough until folks are past their prime. Can Fedor beat Brock? Maybe, but Brock has only 4 freaking fights and only 2 serious years in the MMA. Wait till next year. If Brock beats Nog, Shane Carwin, Mir, and Gonzaga, I would give him a good chance against Fedor. Fedor, as Dana put it, is irrelevant, and once Affliction goes under, he’ll go back to fighting big fat Sumo wrestlers.

GSP vs. John Fitch – UFC 87: Seek and Destroy Final Round

Finally got my hands on the final round of this amazing fight. I thought GSP shoud’ve finished Fitch in the first round, but the fact that he let it get to the final round added more drama to it. The fight was one-sided but you had the feeling that GSP may be denied with a lucky punch. It never happened and it was a great fight between two excellent Martial Artists. Can’t wait for BJ Penn vs. GSP.

Now this was a heck of a fight from Brock Lesnar. He should have finished Heath in the first but I give him credit for winning in only his 3rd MMA match. Is Kongo next?

Anderson Silva vs. James Sandman Irvin Fight Video – UFC Fight Night

If you didn’t see the fight last night, just like Fedor’s fight, you didn’t miss much. I mean it was all great for the whole 1 minue that it lasted, but Irvin was overmatched and now his career is really in jeoprady. He took a big risk by taking this fight, and if he lost respecfully, it would’ve been acceptable. But you can’t let a man come from a lower weight class and totally kill you in about a minute. James can come back but unless Anderson goes on to win the light heavyweight title, Irvin’s loss will weigh heavily on him. Is it just me or would’t be a awesome to have a match between Fedor and Silva (on let’s say 215)?

Josh Barnett Defeats Pedro Rizzo

Similar to their first fight but this time Josh landed the devastating punch to knock out Pedro. Poor Pedro didn’t know where he was for a couple of minutes after. Josh Barnett is a good fighter, but I am not sure how he can trouble Fedor if Fedor fights like he did against Sylvia. Maybe Andre gets a shot at Fedor first? Did you miss the Fedor Tim Silvia fight at Affliction banned? Well, you didn’t miss much. It was a great fight. The whole 36 seconds of it! Fedor just destroyed Tim Sylvia with punishing punches and then choked him out. Tim Silvia showed why he is so overrated, but if Fedor does what he did to Silvia to Randy, then he is definitely the undisputed No. 1 MMA fighter in the world. Until then, he’ll have to share the spotlight with Anderson Silva who easily knocked out the Sandman!
